housing and help get the homeless back on their feet.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE
This act may be cited as the (Homeless assistance) Act of 2015.
SECTION 2. FINDINGS
Congress hereby finds and declares that,
1) Keeping Homeless people on the streets cost more to taxpayers than putting money into programs to get them off
the streets
2) The requested National Defense budget for 2016 is 585.3 billion dollars
3) The presidents 2016 Budget calls for 5.5 billion dollars for targeted homelessness assistance
4) Roughly cost 15,500 dollars a year to feed a family of four
5) The Union mission in Los Angeles not only provides food and a place to sleep, but also has a program to give
people a mailing dress and help them get back on their feet
6) The U.S. has the highest defense budget in the world
7) Chinas defense budget is second with 129.4 billion dollars
8) The U.S. has a larger defense budget, then the next six defense budgets combined
9) Homeless families cant meet the residential requirements to enroll their children in school
10) Homeless families cant always meet legal guardianship requirements for school enrollments
11) Homeless families dont have proper transportation to school
SECTION 3. STATUTORY LANGUAGE
A) Two hundred billion dollar will be taken from the defense budget to be strictly used for feeding, housing, and ad
programs to help homeless people to get back on their feet.
B) This act will be enforced and upheld by the United StatesInteragency council on Homelessness
C) This act shall go into effect January 1, 2015.
