MAN

Man looks away in slight exasperation
CALLER

MAN

CALLER

Points of improvement
Something else to remind the man of the kid- chips are too cliche
Make the first dream sequence vague, wouldnt make sense to have julian and
carmen looking exactly the same in their first meeting as later on in the film.
E.g. Echoey, distant sounds of children playing
Trim down on the flashbacks a bit, for the induction flashback, cut out any of
the idealistic dialogue of Julian and just leave the core message of once youre
in the organization, you cant get out.
Dont need a trigger for every single flashback, just the trigger for the first one
can incite the following ones to occur
Perhaps change the ending scene so that the Man and Woman dont evade the
enemy for a period of time, and are instead running away from the building, at
which point the Woman is immediately killed by a sniper.
Artistic point: Towards the end of the film, blur the lines between reality and
the flashbacks- Julian is stressed to the point that he cant tell the difference
anymore/his sense of reality is wavering
A man is sitting hunched over on a park bench, sipping out of a cup. Perpetual glares
throughout the frame and constant shifts in angle give the impression of a dream-like
state. A woman suddenly appears in the frame during a transition. Both their facial
features are obscured by the glares or cut off completely.
Woman
You looked like you were lonely there. Have anything you want to talk about?
MAN
Nothing in particular

The woman sits down next to the man. The man pauses briefly, sighs, and puts down
his drink
MAN
Cut to
- The man is running down an alleyway, dispatching several assailants on the way.
- The man is hiding behind cover, he exposes himself to fire, and immediately hides
again
The man violently jerks up with a shout, he instantly grabs his gun from beside him
and aims around the room. After a few seconds he calms down with an effort. He's
sitting atop a stack of cardboard on the floor, set up as a makeshift bed.
The man is hunched over the sink slowly washing his face in a weary fashion.
The man opens a cupboard and takes out a bottle of water, and carefully scrutinizes it
Man (V.O)
Man (V.O)
Boil the water. Kills possible contaminants, but I'll need to find a better way to purify
it. It's too easy for them to just spike my drinks.
Man (V.O)
He walks over and opens the door, revealing a sliding gate behind it. He
experimentally opens the gate, then closes it. He then moves on to the lock, unlocking
it, then locking it again and testing the door. He does the same with a padlock
Man (v.o)
The man rummages around the room for a lock, and replaces the old one. He closes
the sliding door, and moves on to the second door, checking all of the locks on it.
Satisfied with everything, he notices the open handle of the door, and slides a pipe
through it
MAN (V.O)
Cut to
The man is sitting on a desk and drinking a cup of hot water. He sharply exhales, puts
down his cup, and starts rubbing his arms.
The man stands up and walks to his wardrobe. He grabs a jacket inside and is about
to walk away, but stops when he notices a small memento

The man walks up to the woman, who has her back turned. The woman looks behind,
and then turns around.

The woman turns around and starts walking. The man tries to reach out his hand, but
in the next cut the woman is suddenly much farther away. The man slowly lowers his
hand

The man stares contemplatively for a few seconds, then closes the wardrobe.
The man is sitting at his desk cleaning his gun, when all of a sudden the phone rings,
startling the him. Setting down the parts, the man slowly makes his way over. He
looks down at the notification which reads "No Caller ID". Feeling suspicious, the man
cautiously picks up the phone, hits answer, and waits.

The man picks up the phone. Only his lower face and the phone receiver is visible
MAN
Hi-
Caller
MAN
Caller

5 seconds pass. 10 seconds pass. Not a sound is heard from the other side. The
silence is broken when the other side disconnects, leaving only the buzzing of the
phone. The man stares suspiciously at the device, before setting it down.
He stands up. A short while later he is at the stove top cooking a meal.
Flashback
MAN
This can't be right, he's just a regular Father with his kid
Caller
First impressions deceive. He's killed many and will kill many more if you leave him
be.
MAN
Caller
(Irritated)
You were the one who came to us. You knew what you were getting into. We do what
others can't. It's our job. It's your job, and you can't just walk away from everything.
You can run this time, but reality will catch up eventually
MAN
(Agitated)
The sound of a muffled gunshot completely cuts off all of the background noise of
chatter, only for it to be replaced by screams

The man pauses briefly as he recounts the moment, he shakes his head to clear the
distraction and continues cooking.
Time passes
The man pauses in the middle of eating, hearing faint sounds of several footsteps.
Standing up, he quietly makes his way towards the door, putting his ear against it.
The footsteps get progressively louder.
Flashback
The man is running towards a staircase, gun in hand. Footsteps are heard behind him,
and another man calls out.
Teammate
Cut to
He arrives at his destination floor. Just as he kicks open the door and rushes through,
a pistol butt lashes out at his head, which he manages to duck. He then grabs the gun
arm of the assailant and sweeps her down to the floor. He holds them down and
points his pistol, but stops short when they make eye contact. Faced with the friend
who he said goodbye to in that park, the two of them can only stare in shock.
The silence is interrupted when several loud footsteps are heard around the corner.
The man looks up, then back down at the woman. Frozen in place by conflicted
thoughts, the man eventually scowls and picks the woman up.
MAN
The man pulls the woman back through the door and down the stairs.
Back to present
The man hastily turns off all lights in the room and quietly backs away from the door,
pulling out his gun. The sound of footsteps gets louder. He sees the fleeting
movements of shadows through the gap below the door.
Flashback
A door is violently kicked open with hardly any indication that it's a flashback. The
man comes running out, with the woman emerging a short while later. The two start
frantically running down the street. A muffled gunshot is heard, the woman drops
down onto the floor. The man swiftly dives behind cover. Looking down, the horrified
man gazes at the motionless body of the woman. Hearing the sounds of footsteps
rapidly approaching his position, the man hesitantly backs away, and then breaks
away in a sprint.
Back to present
The man stares intently at the door, but the slight sound of the sliding door outside
being rattled immediately causes him to break from his position. He runs towards
another door and is about to open it, but the sound of more footsteps from the other
side stops him in his tracks. He frantically looks between the entrance and the escape
route, the sounds growing progressively louder. Fear slowly overwhelms the man, he
backs away into a corner of the room
The man's legs are dangling in mid air, completely motionless save for gradual
swaying left and right. The entire room is silent.

MAN
*smirks* I guess so.
The man pauses and puts down his drink
MAN
Well.. I guess I'm just not really satisfied with my
life as it is.
CUT TO
EXT. ALLEYWAY - DAY - MONTAGE
- The man and woman are surrounded by several armed men
- The man rushes into an alleyway and shoots an assailant
- The man and the woman hide are hidden behind a corner, the man dispatches
another enemy and then motions for the woman to flee- they split in opposite
directions
INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY
The man violently jerks out of bed with a shout, he instantly grabs his nearby
gun and aims around the room. After a few seconds he calms down with an
effort, lowers his gun, and wearily slumps back down on his bed
INT. BATHROOM - DAY
The man is hunched over the sink slowly washing his face. He hears sounds of
people talking, and turns around to find an open window.
MAN (V.O)
(Irritated)
Damn it, how could I have forgotten
He walks over to close and lock the window. He begins to walk away, but walks
back to test the lock before finally leaving.
INT. SAFEHOUSE - DAY
The man opens a cupboard and takes out a bottle of water. After opening the
cap, he scrutinizes and smells it
MAN (V.O)
Smells fine and looks fine. But you can never be
too sure.
The man empties the water into a pot and begins to boil it in the kitchen. While
waiting, the man's gaze falls onto the main door.
MAN (V.O)
(Progressively louder and panicked)
Locks, locks, locks, locks!
He briskly walks over and starts to meticulously go over each of the more than
half a dozen locks fastened on the door. As he's testing out one of the padlocks,
he meets slight resistance while unlocking it.
MAN (V.O)
Getting rusty, I'll need to replace it
The man proceeds to scrutinize the crevices on the edge of the door. When he
reaches the bottom where a plank is nailed on to cover the gap on the bottom,
he notices a gap and seals it up.
Finished with the door, the man stands up and brushes his knees. A loud crash
is suddenly heard nearby, and the man abruptly pulls his gun out and runs to
the location. He finds the pot lid rolling on the floor and the boiling water
overflowing, and quickly rushes over to turn the fire off. He leans against the
wall and wearily slumps down.
CUT TO
The man is sitting on a desk and drinking the cup of hot water.
MAN (V.O)
Haah...it's cold.
The man stands up and walks to his wardrobe. He grabs a jacket inside and is
about to walk away, but stops when he notices a small keychain
FLASHBACK
EXT. PARK - EVENING
The man and the woman are sitting on the same park bench, sipping drinks
together. The woman calmly places her's down
WOMAN
I'll be leaving the country, and I might not see you
again.
The man abruptly stops drinking, and looks at her in surprise, beckoning her to
continue
WOMAN
MAN
Yes
CALLER
I see. You're probably aware of this already, but
once you come in, you're staying in.
MAN
I understand, I promise you won't regret taking
me.
CALLER
Good, good. We certainly need people with plenty
of ambition like you. Rest assured, a lot of lives
will be saved by your actions from here on out.
MAN
Thank you so much, I look forward to working with
you!
BACK TO PRESENT

the phone. The man stares suspiciously at the device, before setting it down.
A low rumbling sound is heard, and the man glances down at his stomach.
Standing up, he makes his way to a cupboard, opens it, and starts rummaging
through it for food. Eventually he uncovers a single packet of crisps
FLASHBACK
EXT. STREET - EVENING
A teenager with crisps is walking down the street. A couple of meters in front
the man is hiding in an alleyway. He takes one glance at the teenager, his eyes
go wide, and he immediately taps on an earpiece.
MAN
This can't be right, he's just a kid.
CALLER
Don't question us boy, we're always right. He's
killed many and will kill many more if you leave
him be.
MAN
No, there has to be another way!
CALLER
(Irritated)
Look, you were the one who came to us. You knew
what you were getting into, or did you not? Did
you think that we were flawless heroes? We're not.
We're the ones who do what others can't, so are
you going to be one of us? Or are we going to
have to send a proper member to clean up your
mess, and spend the next 24 hours "teaching" you
how to properly do your job?
The man scrunches up his face in conflict, and looks down. Remaining
motionless, before abruptly turning the corner and pulling the trigger on his gun

The man pauses briefly before taking the pack of chips and opening it. He sits
down on a chair and starts eating.

opposite side as well, and soon the area around the man is completely
surrounded by the sounds. He slowly backs away, panic seeping into his face.
FLASHBACK
INT. HOUSE - NIGHT
A quiet, slow knock causes the man to warily look up and grab his gun.
MAN
Who's there?
The man cocks his gun
MAN
Who's there?!
WOMAN
It's me
The man relaxes and puts his gun down. The door opens and the woman comes
in, holding a bag. Just as she walks over to a table and places the bag down, a
figure suddenly emerges from the open door behind her. The man looks up in
horror, quickly grabbing his gun. The screen goes black. A single gunshot is
heard.
BACK TO PRESENT
The cacophony of sounds return, this time a new sound emerges in the mix- the
anguished screams of the man. He raises his gun towards his head and fires off
a single shot.
The screen goes black.

The sound of gunfire is heard, and a man slumps to the ground next to a
computer. Footsteps are heard approaching, a man in formal suit attire with
appears, plugs a device into the computer and begins interacting with it.
MAN
(Heavily breathing)
Alpha wolf to command, I'm at the console
COMMAND
Roger that, proceed to wipe the data- oh god,
they've broken through!
Gunfire and explosions are heard on the communicator
MAN
Command? Command?! Answer me
No response is heard. A popup indicates the data has been wiped, just as
footsteps are heard approaching.
BAD GUY
Stop him!
MAN
Damn it!
The man yanks out the device and flees the vicinity. Gunshots and screams
from the communicator continue to be heard in the background. The sound
gradually fades away while growing more chaotic and indistinguishable,
eventually culminating in a loud sting to mark the transition into the next scene
INT. BEDROOM - DAY
A shattering sound of a fallen mug bridges the two scenes together. The man
abruptly wakes up in cold sweat, clearly disturbed by the nightmare.
An small, dimly lit room in the background comes into view. The windows are
barricaded and CCTV footage monitors are seen spread out in a corner of the
room.
The man wearily sighs, gets out of his bed and sits in front of the table in the
room, elbows on the table and hands cupped over face in a dreary manner.

The man is at the bathroom in the same overcast position on the sink as he was
on the table, splashing water on his face.
A quiet creak draws his attention, followed by muffled sounds of children playing
outside. The man glances out of the door and finds an open window. He casually
steps out of the bathroom to close it.
INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY
The man pours himself a cup of water, then returns to a desk in the middle of
the room with a laptop, a gun, and several pieces of paper strewn over the top.
He starts to type on the laptop.
A knock on the door disrupts the man's work
SON
Hey Dad, open up!
Cautiously, the man closes his laptop, puts his papers to one side and takes his
gun in a ready position
MAN
Don't you hate uncomfortable silences?
HOODED FIGURE
...tch, fine. I don't know, that's a good question
The father visibly relaxes and opens the door, revealing a hooded figure
The hooded figure pulls down his hood, revealing the face of a teenager
underneath
SON
Hey Dad
The father exhales and lowers his gun
FATHER
What's inside that?
The son opens the box, revealing sandwiches inside
SON
Some food a neighbor offered, I took it in case you
wanted toFATHER
Not a chance, we've been through this before,
better safe than sorry
SON
...I thought as much
The son cautiously glances around for signs of movement, then begins walking
towards the safe house.
Stopping at the door, the son quietly turns the nob and nudges it open, gun in
hand
INT. INSIDE THE SAFE HOUSE - AFTERNOON
Once inside, the protagonist spares no time in pointing his gun up, searching for
potential enemies.
The room seems to be empty at first, but as the son turns around a corner, he
immediately catches sight of an enemy facing the other way, looking out of the
window.
Alerted by the son's footsteps, the enemy abruptly turns around and points his
gun.
The son sprints towards the enemy and hurls his gun at them. The enemy
moves up an arm to defend, the lobbed gun impacts against the enemy's own
gun, and a stray shot is fired.
The son vaults over a table and reaches the assailant, slapping away the gun
hand that the enemy tries to intercept him with.
Twisting around the enemy, the son puts them in a choke hold and grabs a hold
of the enemy's shooting arm- just as soon as footsteps and heard and another
enemy descends from a staircase.
The son fires a single shot which takes out the assailant. Sparing no time, the
son immediately shifts his aim towards a door on the other side of the room,
just as another enemy bursts open, and takes out the other enemy.
The enemy in the choke hold regains his bearings, and painfully elbows the son
to break free.
Pausing momentarily, the son is caught off guard as the assailant painfully
knees him in the stomach twice.
Reeling back, the son tries to tackle the assailant, but the assailant dodges and
pushes the protagonist forward as he runs, the momentum sending him falling
several feet away towards the stairs.
The son is momentarily dazed, but quickly comes back to his senses and grabs
the gun dropped by one of the dead enemies.
By the time the son aims at the final assailant, the assailant already has his own
gun in hand aimed at the son.
The son desperately fires a shot, and the enemy is taken out.
Sensing someone else in the room, the son instinctively aims towards the back
door and lets loose several shots against another man who just walked in, who
drops dead around the corner, body hidden from view.
The protagonist takes several deep breaths to calm himself, and then makes his
way to the various bodies around the house, kicking them to make sure they're
dead.
AS he approaches the final body and methodologically kicks it, he glances up
briefly and the unresponsive face of his father is seen
The body of the final assailant comes into view, revealing two separate bullet
holes in it's torso

INT.DARK ROOM - DAY
The sound of gunfire is heard, and a man slumps to the ground next to a
computer. Footsteps are heard approaching, a man in formal suit attire with
appears, plugs a device into the computer and begins interacting with it.
MAN
(Heavily breathing)
Alpha wolf to command, I'm at the console
COMMAND
Roger that, proceed to wipe the data- oh god,
they've broken through!
Gunfire and explosions are heard on the communicator
MAN
Command? Command?! Answer me Diana!
No response is heard. A popup indicates the data has been wiped, just as
footsteps are heard approaching.
BAD GUY
Stop him!
MAN
Damn it!
The man yanks out the device and flees the vicinity. Gunshots and screams
from the communicator continue to be heard in the background. The sound
gradually fades away while growing more chaotic and indistinguishable,
eventually culminating in a loud sting to mark the transition into the next scene
INT. SAFE HOUSE - DAY
A shattering sound of a fallen mug bridges the two scenes together. The man
abruptly wakes up in cold sweat, clearly disturbed by the nightmare.
An enclosed, dimly lit room in the background comes into view. The windows
are barricaded and there are several wires tightly grouped against the entrance
door. CCTV footage monitors are seen spread out in a corner of the room. The
man is sitting on a chair with his head on the desk.
In front of him lies a picture of a cheerful woman and a ring in front of it. The
man intently gazes at the picture, exuding a sense of melancholy
A moment later quick footsteps are heard from outside the door. The man
hastily stands up, pulls a gun out of a drawer, and turns to face the door.
Fidgeting noises start coming from the door, a while later a hooded figure
holding a box barges and immediately raises his hands upon noticing the gun.
MAN
How's the weather today?
HOODED FIGURE
Cloudy with patches of sun and rain
The hooded figure pulls down his hood, revealing the face of a teenager
underneath
SON
Hey Dad

You okay? I heard something coming from here.
FATHER
Just an accident... what's inside that?

The man leans down and picks up the ring from the front of the picture.
SON
They were the same kind as mom always used to

I know...
The son calmly throws the box of sandwiches into a bin
He reaches out to flick on the light switch, but a figure suddenly appears beside
him and lands a punch. Caught by surprise, the son is knocked to the side as
another figure emerges from the shadows and grabs him in a full nelson.
The other assailant quickly closes in on the trapped son and begins pummeling
him. After several hits the son fends the assailant off with a kick to the stomach.
The son desperately tries to free himself from the hold, but is held firmly in
place by the assailant.
As the other attacker recovers, the son uses all of his strength rotate him and
his holder around, and then kicks backwards with all his might.
The assailant holding him abruptly loses his balance and begins stepping
backwards. As he approaches a doorway, he trips on a rigid wire, falling on his
back and letting go of the son
Finally free from the hold, the son kicks outwards, launching the other pursuing
assailant away. Swiftly getting back on his feet, the son knocks the fallen
assailant beneath him unconscious and then heads out of the doorway to face
the other adversaryBut stops in his tracks when he is confronted with two other enemies as well.
The three men rush towards the son, but this time he is prepared. He narrowly
manages to counter against the onslaught of attacks, even managing to land a
few himself.
But soon fatigue begins to set in and the son begins taking attacks. Choosing
tactical retreat, the son breaks free of the group and rushes up the staircase,
the enemy trio close behind him. The perspective then changes to the enemy
trio as they actively pursue the son
The son charges into a room and slams the door behind him, right in front of the
assailant's. Caught by surprise, it takes a moment for the assailant's to open the
door, and by then the son has already reached the other side of the room and
closed the door.
Sprinting towards the door, the frontmost enemy shoves open the door, but a
painful kick intercepts him from the side and knocks him against the opposite
wall, leaving him reeling on the ground.
The remaining two assailant's are dispatched by the son after a brief scuffle.
As the body of the final assailant slumps to the ground, the son wearily exhales
and slumps against the wall next to the door.
Just as he catches his breath and regains his focus, the son hears the sound of
footsteps right outside the door. Time slows as the protagonist swiftly turns to
the side just as a foot steps into the room.
The son's eyes widen as the barrel of a gun comes into view as well, and he
desperately reaches for his waist area, pulls out his own gun, aims it towards
the doorway, the other individual hears him, and instantly aims his gun at the
son.
CUT TO BLACK
Gunshots are heard
FADE IN
The protagonist opens his eyes. A smoldering bullet mark is seen inches above
his head. The other man lies face down on the floor in a pool of blood.
The son takes a moment to calm his rampant breathing, and then stands up and
walks over to the body.
Crouching down beside the gun arm, he unclenches the hand with some effort
and takes the gun. As he lets go of the hand, he feels a hard object, and looks
down to see a cracked ring- the same ring his father had.
The son looks down unemotionally
CUT
MAN
(Heavily breathing)

tries to step in, but is abruptly held back. Sighing, he reaches reaches down and
begins to fiddle. The father walks back to his seat and sit down
The son finally detaches the wire, walks to his dad, and hands him a box.
FATHER
Where did you get that?
SON
A friend.
The father's eyes grow slightly wider
FATHER
And you just took it? What if?SON
Calm down Dad.
The son opens up the box, revealing two sandwiches inside
He picks one up and hands it to the father, he grabs the other one and prepares
to eat it- when his father suddenly takes it from him and calmly throws it in the
bin, along with the other sandwich
SON
(Angry)
What was that for?!
FATHER
We can't take any chances, they could have been
poisoned.
The father begins walking back to his room
FATHER
Never accept anything from anyone again.
The father leaves, leaving behind the blank-faced son standing alone in the
living room.
CUT TO
The protagonist is looking out of a small gap in the window barricade. He grows
dejected after noticing several teenagers interacting outside, establishing his
loneliness. His daze is interrupted by the father, who is holding boxing pads in
both of his hands
FATHER
Break's over, get ready
The son sighs and wearily gets up.
They begin training, the son monotonously throwing punches at the father in a
mechanical motion. After a couple of rounds, the father suddenly extends one of
the pads towards the son. Surprised, the son backs away and loses his footing
FATHER
*Sigh* You've got to take this seriously son!
Father reaches down and helps son stand up.
SON
tch, what's the point? You say we might come
under attack, but nothing's happened for the past
6 years!
Father turns around and begins walking towards the refrigerator
FATHER
Don't act like you know them. I've experienced
that organization first hand; they will come for us.
Father opens the refrigerator- inside there are only 3 water bottles. He grabs
two and throws one at the son.
FATHER
Dang, we'll need to go out for more supplies, get
dressed.
The boy's face lights up, and he eagerly runs to his room
EXT. STREET - DAY
The duo stop by a small shop, and the father begins negotiating with the
shopkeeper for goods, while the son eagerly glances around at the scenery and
objects he rarely gets to see. Seeing this opportunity, the son quietly sneaks
away.
Turning into an alleyway, the son notices a basketball on the floor, and three
teenagers dressed in delinquent clothes chatting some distance away. Paying no
heed to them, the son eagerly walks over and picks up the basketball.
Just as he starts to walk off, one of the teenagers grabs him by the shoulder
TEEN 1
Oi, what do you think you're doing with our ball?
The son abruptly turns around
CUT TO
The son is thrown heavily against a wall, his face is bruised and battered. Two of
the teens are approaching him, the other one is knocked out and lying on the
floor, the other two have light injuries.
TEEN 1
Put up quite a fight eh? You're going to regret this
The teen readies a punch, and the son closes his eyes in fear.
An arm is suddenly wrapped around the teen's neck, and he is thrown against a
wall. The father enters the scene and quickly dispatches the rest of the teens,
before confronting his huddled up and whimpering son.
FATHER
This is what you get for running away
The father leans down and starts wiping the bloodied son with a piece of tissue
FATHER
Will you take training seriously now?
The father stands up and offers his hand, which the son takes, and the father
pulls him up.
INT. APARTMENT - DAY
The duo are in the middle of a sparring match. The son lashes out with a punch
which the father intercepts, and then proceeds to put the son in an arm lock.
FATHER
Focus! The organization is nothing like those
thugs, they won't leave even a smear of you
behind.
The son's expression grows terrified, and he desperately breaks away from the
hold.
CUT TO
A montage ensues, wherein each cut is made to show passing of time, with the
son gradually improving with each fight, eventually culminating in him fighting
on equal ground with his father
FATHER
(Admiration)
You've really improved; this will really help in the
future
While they are taking a break, a surveillance monitor displays a hooded figure
with a waist pouch entering the building. All seems normal until he unzips his
pouch to take out a key- and the tiniest glimpse of a gun is seen.
The relaxed atmosphere immediately dissipates and cold sweat starts to break
out from the father and son. They drop their water bottles and rush over to
hastily pull out pistols and ammunition from a drawer, and rush over the side of
the door- pistols held up.
FATHER
We're sitting ducks up here. Our only choice is to
catch them off guard as they head up the stairs.
I'll cover the left staircase, you cover the other
SON
Roger that.
The father places his hand on the door knob and raises three fingers; time slows
down as the son's focus intensifies. Two fingers; the son cocks his pistol. One
finger; the two crouch down, ready sprint. Zero; the door bursts open as the
pair sprints out into the hallway, splitting up to descend down the two
staircases.
INT. STAIRCASE - DAY
The son kicks open the door to the staircase and immediately comes face to
face with a masked figure. The figure raises up his gun, but the son is quicker;
he shoves the opponents arm upwards just as the opponent lets off a shot.
The son grabs the opponent's shooting arm, twists it, then brings it down hard
on his knee, a loud cracking sound is heard and the opponent cries out in pain
and drop his gun- just as the protagonist draws his gun to the the opponent's
forehead and mercilessly executes him point blank.
Footsteps are heard approaching and the protagonist catches a glimpse of two
figures running up the stairs a floor below.
Sprinting down, the protagonist jumps and grabs the railing, using it as leverage
to swing around the corner and meet the shocked assailants head on with a
crunching dropkick, which propels them down the stairs into a wall.
Dazed from the impact, the assailants are quickly neutralized by the sound of
two gunshots.
Continuing to descend, the protagonist takes out several other assailants,
before reaching the ground floor.
INT. LOBBY - DAY
Cautiously lining up beside the door, the son slightly opens it and peeks
through- on the opposite side, one assailant remains with his back to the wall.
Different from the other enemies, this assailant is dressed in what appears to be
a protective vest, and his gun is ordained with a cross bone skull design on it's
barrel, which suggests that he must be the leader of the attack.
A bullet wouldn't penetrate the vest at such a distance, the son would have to
wait until the assailant was closer, and he would only get one chance
The son anxiously looks towards the door leading to the opposite staircase, but
there are no signs of his father showing up.
The assailant backs away from the wall and gradually advances towards the
son's position. Sweat drips down the son's neck as he anxiously glances at the
opposite doorway- still no sign of his father.
As the assailant draws nearer, the son eventually gives up waiting and steadies
his breathing. With each passing footstep, the protagonist's focus intensifies.
Just as the assailant touches the door handle, the son makes his move. Kicking
the door open, the son dives into the open, taking aim at the startled opponent.
Time slows to a halt. The assailant tries to raise his arms to block but is a step
too slow, the bullet released from the son's gun lands straight in the assailant's
chest, killing him instantly.
The son is left lying on the floor breathing heavily, when suddenly a hooded
figure turns around the corner- the same one that was initially seen in the
security monitor.
Caught off guard, the son lets loose two desperate shots- one hits the waist
pouch, and the other right in the head.
Just as the body hits the floor, a loud peppering noise is heard and several
beads rush our of the broken waist pouch.
The son rapidly jumps back, but when nothing happens, he cautiously walks
over and inspects them. To his bewilderment, the objects turn out to be airsoft
pellets.
A thumping noise from the stairway jolts the son out of his surprise, and he
points his gun at the doorway. Gradually opening the door, the son's expression
turns into one of distress and confusion when he finds a regular civilian slumped
on the stairway.
Despair and realization start to show on his face, as he slowly turns towards the
hallway where he killed the final assailant.
There, lying in a pool of blood with a contorted face of absolute horror, lies the
father.

Script:
One of the men frantically rushes to the computer and begins interacting with it
COMMAND
Roger that, proceed to wipe the data- oh god,
they've broken through!
Gunfire and explosions are heard and the connection is cut off
MAN
Command, command?! Damn it, hurry up, they'll
notice us!
A popup on the monitor indicates the data has been wiped, and the men quickly
evacuate the room. Just as the man exits, a door shuts, locking the rest of the
men in the room`
MAN
What the- no no no no!
He begins to frantically pound on the door. Footsteps are suddenly heard
approaching around the corner. With a look of desperation and regret, the man
gives up and flees, just as men arrive around the corner
FADE TO BLACK
BAD GUY
What have you done?! Y
ou'll pay for this!
INT. APARTMENT - DAY
An enclosed, dimly lit room comes into view. The windows are barricaded and
there are several wires tightly grouped against the entrance door. Security
monitors are seen spread out in a corner of the room. The man is sitting on a
chair with his head on the desk. A knock on the door is heard. When pain was
comprehended
SON
Hey dad, can you open up?
FATHER
...Who are you?
SON
What? It's me, your- oh...37852
The man puts his head up, his appearance is noticeably more ragged compared
to the flashback, with messy hair, sullen eyes and
ragged clothes
. He unlocks
the door, revealing teenager with similarly
ragged clothes
and unkempt hair, but
with a comparably brighter expression. The boy reaches down and begins to
fiddle.
SON
Jeez, all these traps are annoying.
FATHER
They're necessary; what do you need?
The son detaches a trip wire,
walks to his dad, and hands him a box.
FATHER
Where did you get this?
SON
Ah, one of our neighbors gave that to me,
and
also some new clothes.
The father suddenly grows wide-eyed, he grabs the box and throws it out of the
door, into the living room.
SON
What are?The father tackles the son to the floor and braces himself.
A few seconds pass and nothing happens, the father nervously crawls towards
the door and peeks- revealing several sandwiches that have fallen out.
SON
Calm down dad! See? They aren't bombs or
anything. Boy I'm starving
The son walks over and picks one up. As he is about to bite into it, the father
grabs it out of his hand and picks up the remaining sandwiches
SON
(Angry)
What was that for?!
FATHER

Eventually backing into a wall, the father prepares to deliver a fatal kick- but the
son notices an opening. He ducks down under the kick, freeing himself from the
corner and simultaneously preparing a roundhouse kick.
The father anticipates this, and counters with a kick of his own. The sudden
counter-attack stuns the son and knocks him off balance. The father
immediately follows up and executes a low sweep, knocking the son off his feet.
He bears down on the fallen opponent and throws a downward punch- stopping
just shy of the son's face.
FATHER
