PRESENTATION | VIRTUAL MUSEUM TOUR

PROCEDURE
1. Visit the website of the museum you were assigned
2. Look through the exhibitions that are currently happening, read
the text the museum has included about each exhibition.
- What is the title of the exhibitions?
If your museum has more than 3 currently on
display limit yourself to
the three exhibitions that
most interest you.
- Who are the artists featured in specific exhibitions?
- How are the pieces in the exhibitions linked together?
3. Consider what exhibitions look most exciting to you and
thoughtfully articulate why you are attracted to a particular
exhibition.
4. Look up the artists (at least 3) featured in the exhibitions to get
a better sense of the work that might be in the exhibitions. Feel
free to use background information and images not from the
museums websites.
5. Presentation: You will present your museum and its current
exhibitions in class. Think of yourself as a spokesman for the
museum. What makes your museum a compelling place to visit?
- You will need to make a Power Point to share visual
information with us. Include images of the pieces of art
discussed. Please share lots of pictures with us.
Consider sharing images of the space the artwork
occupies in the museum as well as individual pieces of
art featured.
