PROCEDURE
1. Attend the event
2. When you are at the event, take your time looking at the
artwork or taking in the experience of the event. Once youve
looked over the work or experienced the event find what really
speak to you (this can be a positive or negative reaction) and
spend some time analyzing why that is. Make sure to record the
artists name, the title their piece, the date and medium. Also
consider the artists perspective and your perspective. It may be
very helpful to find the artists artist statement because they
usually will tell you their perspective and reason for making the
work.
3. VERY IMPORTANT: You must include a picture of yourself at
the art event. If this component is missing your paper will not be
accepted.
4. Write a reflection on your experience
Section 1 | Introduction
In this section introduce the event you have attended. Where
is it located and what kind of art do they show? Give a brief
overview of what you saw.
Section 2| Analysis. Your reaction to the work. You may want
to talk about the perspectives you have that may influence
they way you view the work.
Section 3 | What is the artists perspective? What was the
point of making the work?
