    First Encounter of Film


    The first thing I remember when I think of watching my first film, I recall thinking that all
    films showed on the big screens were actually happening in real life. I used to think that genres
    did not exist and that all the fantasy stories basis came from an event that actually happened in
    real life.
    I believe that I thought that because the first movie I recall watching was Austin Powers,
    the movie with the dwarf/midget. And I knew that even back then that midgets were real. I knew
    that war was actually happening as well in the world so it didnt help that I used to watch war
    films with my parents as well.
    It really saddened me when I learned the truth about how films are actually made, that most
    movie plots arent even real. But it makes it easier for the filmmakers since I now know that you
    have to be the greatest liar to become successful in the film industry.
