Description of artifact and how the artifact meets the standard:

In this lesson plan, the students were learning about pets, more specifically this week they were
learning about frogs. The lesson shows that I taught about the life cycle of frogs through several
areas throughout the day, at large group and at small group.
Reflection on artifact (what went right, what went wrong, how to make better)

During the particular week, Ms. Maggie and I had traded class pets so that I had her frog and she
had my fish. My class observed her frog throughout the week, we discussed what it looked like
and what it ate. This was a great precursor to getting into the life cycle of frogs and to students
creating their own life cycle of a frog books. The lesson also shows what Gold learning
objectives each activity meets.
