Territories of Centerlands

A guide to the peoples and lands of the Centerlands.

Central Primer to the Peoples:

Kingdom of Deisi:
The kingdom at the heart of the Centerlands is known as Deisi by it's natives. The folk
of the land are calm of heart and stalwart in the
guarding of their lands. The focus on their
martial defense, is directly juxtaposed by their
want for greater agricultural growth. The
standard military of the land is one of peasant
levies led by armoured nobility call Cnicht. The
Cnicht are drawn from only those families of
noble birth with two or more male children,
leaving the heir of the line, and a replacement if
the need arises. Cnicht are not expected to
obtain any land aside from a small pension of
what they assist in conquering.
The chill that has hit the Center-lands has
damaged the crops of the people and cause
small famines that bring about some civil unrest.

There is little to be done to cover these

weaknesses as it is, and the Tribes of the forest
have begun moving south and raiding the
farming villages that already must suffer the loss
of starvation on their families.
The Future rests dangerously in poise to
crush the Deisic people under the thumb of the
outside world, their colonies coming under attack
by the natives of the Pale Nations, and the
incursions of the forest people only are the signs
of the future strike to come against the Center
Peoples. Internal strife and war has already
begun to sprout as lords and, peasants alike seek
the best for themselves and their territories.

Tribes of the Forest:

The Forest Tribes have moved south from
their villages to escape the frozen advance of the
coming age of cold. Their penchant for raiding
the people of Deisi is only one of necessity. They

can not currently settle and gain their own

supplies so they seek to take it from their new
neighbor by force to keep themselves alive.
Technologically they lag behind their two
neighboring groups, but this is not by much, they
have recently discovered steel from their raids
and learned the secrets of it's creation and use
from captured Deisi villagers. With this under
their belt they have grown to be a dangerous
force from the beyond to the Deisi peoples.
Their military is made of warrior houses, which
are split into controlling families. While armour
has become a big thing for them there are still
plenty holding onto the old ways that forswear
armour in order to go to battle as their ancestors
have, nude and tattooed in order to show their
spirit.
The future of the tribes is not clear, will
they be able to beat the chill before it overtakes
them and removes their people from the mark of
history, or will they perish. Strife is natural for
their kinds, but they are a hard people and will
fight for how they must live. Though many long
for the stable settlements they once held.

Pale Nations:
The final player in the theater is the pale
nations. Just off the coast of the Center-lands is
the island lords of the Pale Nations. They long
ago were once a part of the Center-lands, but
those ties were long ago forgotten and the recontact between the two has been one of a first
contact. Their technology are a matching set to
the people of Deisi. The colonization of their
land has started a brutal hatred in the Pale
nations as they fight amoungst themselves on
how to best push these foreign monsters from
their shores.
Split into six kingdoms the Pale nations
are a tanistry leaving one of the six to be the
high-lord of the island. This currently is a vacant
throne as the last High-lords lands were the one's
taken by the invading Deisics. Their five lords
are high cheiften Ghael, Lord Farharth, King
Goddart, Cheif Anenn, and Headman Kurt. These
vieying factions will decide their islands fate
whether it will fall to the invaders or rally against
them in the near future.
