Letter To My Kids

Dear Students,
I want you to know how much I care for you and your futures. I cant
wait to see you become well-rounded citizens and global
ambassadors, opening the eyes of everyone around you. Each one of
you has the potential deep inside of you and you can unlock it at
any time. Each choice and decision you make can and will affect
your future and it is so important that you think about these
decisions and choices before you make them. In an effort to help
support you and all that you do:

I promise to hold you accountable for each decision and choice

that you make.
I promise that all work we do in class will be intentional in
allowing you to become citizens of the world and ambassadors
who were not fortunate enough to have learned what you have
learned.
I promise to care for you, care about you, listen to you, process
and reflect with you.
I promise to challenge you and have you become active
members in your own educations.
I promise to be a person of support in your life and help
problem solve with you.
I promise to make you critical thinkers and always explain in
process the decisions and choices you make.

I know I will not always be around and I only have one school year
with you, but I know through our work this year and our agreement
to becoming high achievers and thinkers, you will know what
success feels like by the end of the year. Each one of you has
dreams and goals that deserve to be met and reached in your life.
Sincerely,
Mr. Burnham
