My opinions

The existence of the discrimination against the domestic helpers and the Hong Kong governments inability
to protect their human rights, along with some other reasons, led to the domestic helpers lower wages,
refused right of permanent residency and suffering from inhumane actions. This not only violates Rights 5,
29 and 30 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, but also violates the Hong Kong law regarding
discrimination if the victims were not domestic helpers. Therefore, in order to avoid these situations, the
government should enforce more laws to protect the domestic helpers human rights.
