EXT. AMAZON RAINFOREST MORNING

TITLES: MANAUS, AMAZONAS 23RD APRIL 2014
A group of students are being lead through the rainforest by a tourguide, whos explaining the process of photosynthesis.
The rainforest shrubbery is thick and lush, shielding the group from
the scorching South-American sun.
A girl at the back of the group, briefly gets down on one knee to
observe a curled fern-like plant and is completely unaware of the
rest of the group continuing through the bushes.
DORIS gets up (4) Her appearance is slightly grubby, her maroon
hair is pulled back in a loose braid and her plain white T-shirt is
slightly crumpled. She wears denims shorts with hiking boots that
are caked in dirt.
DORIS
Excuse me. What species of fern is this?
DORIS turns to find that the others have disappeared.
DORIS
Hey! Come back! Wait! Stop!
She begins to sprint in a random direction but reaches a river-bank
with no one in sight.
She goes over to a log and slumps on it, feeling defeated and tired.
DORIS
(In her head) What am I going to do now? Im completely lost in the
largest rainforest the world!
From the corner of her eye, DORIS catches sight of a small and
peculiar creature sitting on a large rock. As curious as ever, DORIS
edges towards the rock and reaches down to stroke the vibrantcoloured lizard.
The lizard is the size of a common gecko with vibrant blue eyes and
rainbow scales that reflect light.
DORIS
Arent you the most beautiful lizard Ive ever seen in my life?
In self-defence, the lizard strikes DORIS on her hand before she
even touches it. Sinking its teeth into her flesh and dispersing its
venom into her bloodstream.
DORIS
Ouch! That hurts!

DORIS clutches her hand in pain as the lizard escapes up a tree and
disappears into the rainforest.
DORIS
Oh my God. It hurts. It hurts.
The venom courses through her veins, mutating her normal genes. This
causes DORIS to feel disorientated and she collapses onto the
ground, losing consciousness.
INT. A SECRET MEDICAL FACILITY, ENGLAND MIDDAY
TITLES: UNKNOWN AREA 28TH APRIL 2014
DORIS opens her eyes to find that she is lying down and peering up.
The harsh brightness of a surgical light causes her to come to her
senses. DORIS up props on her elbows to observe her surroundings.
It turns out that she is in some type of scientific/medical facility
where theres files and x-rays lining the walls and a bunch of
unrecognisable machines and devices.
DORIS
What is this place?
A small screen suddenly slides down from the ceiling and a figure
appears with his eyes censored. The figure is a tall and slender man
with an intriguing European accent, he appears to be wearing a black
turtle-neck and has what looks like dark hair speckled with grey.
DORIS
What thePROFESSOR BRECKEN DYLSKI
Greetings Miss Reynolds. You must be wondering where you are and
what happened after that interesting incident in Manaus. You are
very lucky indeed to have encountered the exact species of reptile
that weve been hunting down for almost a decade. Luckily for us,
you got bitten by it, making our work much easier. After you got
bitten, the venom put you in a coma and thats when we found you and
brought you back here to the UK. This venom has affected you
somewhat which means you are now officially subjected to our
experiments in order to benefit our research
Before the Professor can finish his explanation, DORIS bolts towards
the glass doors. She attempts to pry the doors apart, but this
triggers a security alarm which goes off instantly. The sound of
footsteps can be heard coming towards the door, so DORIS ducks under
the operating table to hide. The doors slide open and a man in a lab
coat and glasses walks in and heads past the operating table. Before
he can turn around, DORIS gets up and sprints out the doors which
are sliding shut.

DORIS doesnt stop running when she leaves the building and
continues to sprint when she reaches a narrow street. Looking over
her shoulder, DORIS jogs round a corner right into a random passerby.
PASSER-BY
Oi! Watch where youre going you idiot!
DORIS
Sorry.
DORIS hurries off.
DORIS
(In her head) That was embarrassing.
Completely flustered, DORIS makes her way into the womens restroom
where she goes straight to the sink and splashes her face with cold
water. When she looks up at the mirror, shes staring directly at the
face of the guy she just walked into.
DORIS
Whoa! What the hell is this?
Completely shocked, DORIS puts her head in her hands trying to stop
herself from sobbing.
DORIS then begins to feel queasy as she morphs back to her ordinary
self.
DORIS
Whats wrong with me? I need to get help.

INT. INTERNET CAF, LONDON AFTERNOON
TITLES: PRESENT DAY 26TH MAY 2014
Its been nearly a month since DORIS discovered her unusual ability
and shes in a local internet caf searching for someone to help her
find a cure.
DORIS
There has to be someone out there who can help me return to normal.
There has to be.
DORIS then comes across a woman who has reached out to her, agreeing
to help her find a cure.
DORIS
Ahah! Finally, someone who can help me and shes only a 10 minute
walk away from here.
The following week DORIS decides to head over to the home of DOCTOR
JANICE PARK for a scheduled appointment.
TITLES: THE FOLLOWING WEEK
DORIS
Hello.
DOCTOR JANICE PARK
Hey there, you must be Doris Reynolds. Im Doctor Park, Ive just
been working on something just for you it was based on the details
you gave me and that DNA analysis you wanted. Lets get right to it.
DORIS follows DOCTOR JANICE PARK through some long corridors and up
a long flight of stairs to a neat little laboratory.
DOCTOR JANICE PARK
Now I know you wanted to get cured of your unusual ability, but that
will take around 50 years to create and perfect. So I thought,
instead of throwing away your superpowers, how about you use it to
your advantage. You can become the next Wonder Woman! Here, Ive
made something to help you with this.
DOCTOR JANICE PARK gets a shimmering blue length of material from
her desk and offers it to DORIS.
DOCTOR JANICE PARK
Here. Try this on, its made from a special material I engineered
especially for your ability. This means, that when you morph into
someone or something, this suit will adapt too. Isnt that amazing!
Plus its also quite stylish.
DORIS

Uhh. Ill try it on, but Im not sure about that whole superhero
idea. It seems like too big of a task.
After changing into the suit, DORIS gazes out a window considering
the idea of being a cool superhero like in the movies. Her
daydreaming is disrupted by the sound of shouting. She peers down at
the street to discover an elderly lady being robbed.
DORIS
Oh no! I have to do something.
DORIS runs out through a Fire Exit and sprints towards the thief.
Just as hes gotten hold of the ladys bag, DORIS throws a punch
from behind landing it on the side of his head. The impact causes
him to drop the bag and he dizzily spins around to face DORIS. DORIS
morphs into him, right in front of his eyes. He gasps in horror.
ELDERLY LADY
Wow!
THIEF
Get away from me you freak!
The THIEF runs off completely shocked from the encounter and DORIS
returns the ELDERLY LADYs bag.
DORIS
Here you go maam. Sorry about that.
ELDERLY LADY
Thank you dear and theres no need to apologise, that was the most
amazing thing I have ever seen in my entire life!
The ELDERLY LADY bid DORIS farewell and continues on her way.
Leaving DORIS behind feeling invincible and full of pride, she
decides on that very spot that she does want to be a superhero after
all.
DORIS
(In her head) That felt amazing, kicking butt and making someone
happy. Maybe I will use my powers after all.
