Mission of the Event/ Description of Event: The YBM program is a mentorship program where
we are taking high school students from the middle college here at A&T and preparing them for
college. We plan on increasing the amount of scholarships and college acceptances. The
mentorship program is open to anyone who can provide a weekly commitment to go to the
school, volunteer, and help the children when needed. The executive board of YBM will be
selecting the mentors to accommodate the amount of mentees that we will have. Within this
program, we provide the scholars with community service projects, leadership programs, and a
graduation day where they will receive senior care packages to prepare them for college. The
senior package will include essential good they will need for college such as binders, clothes
detergent, and school supplies.
