easily connected with her and responded to her
quickly.

taught and things that she observed.

Suggestions for Improvement:

This is an area of strength for Marete! Marete

took what she knew about each of the students
and modified the instruction to meet the student
at their current learning level. After each lesson
that she conducted, she always reflected on how
to effectively tweak or change the lesson.

Overall Rating:

Proficient

Suggestions for Improvement:

Another area of strength for Marete. She

communicated effectively and professionally with
all students and staff that she worked with while
at Northridge. She was engaged throughout her
entire practicum experience and asked
appropriate questions to help her develop her
understanding of the field. Marete connected with
each of the students that she worked with. She
also engaged them in lessons that tied directly to
their IEP goals and objectives, which she spent
time planning and creating.

Do you believe this practicum student has the

knowledge, skills, and attitude required to
become an effective student teacher?

Yes

General Comments:

Marete was a wonderful practicum student and

appeared to be very comfortable with the area of
special education. She was professional with all
of those she encountered and asked many
questions during her practicum experience. I
encourage you to continue to ask questions,
Marete, as it will only help you grow and deepen
your understanding of special education. Marete
was a "natural" while working with the students
and was able to connect with them easily. I
greatly enjoyed my time spent with Marete and
wish her all of the best as she pursues her
education degree! She will be a great assest to
special education!
