Robot
As we all know, a typical robot is usually a machine that can do the work of a person and that
works automatically and usually gets its power source from a battery or a generator. A robot is a
realistic or we can also say an imaginary machine that is controlled by a computer and is often
made to look like a human or machine.
Robotics
Is the technology that deals with the design, construction, and operation of robots in automation.
Dynamo
A dynamo is an electrical generator that produces direct current with the use of a
commutator. Dynamos were the first electrical generators capable of delivering power for
industry, and the foundation upon which many other later electric-power conversion devices
were based, including the electric motor, the alternating-current alternator, and the rotary
converter. Today, the simpler alternator dominates large scale power generation, for efficiency,
reliability and cost reasons. A dynamo has the disadvantages of a mechanical commutator. Also,
converting alternating to direct current using power rectification devices (vacuum tube or more
recently solid state) is effective and usually economical.
Switch
In electrical engineering, a switch is an electrical component that can break an electrical circuit,
interrupting the current or diverting it from one conductor to another. The mechanism of a switch
may be operated directly by a human operator to control a circuit (for example, a light switch or
a keyboard button), may be operated by a moving object such as a door-operated switch, or may
be operated by some sensing element for pressure, temperature or flow. A relay is a switch that is
operated by electricity. Switches are made to handle a wide range of voltages and currents; very
large switches may be used to isolate high-voltage circuits in electrical substations.

Iron
Iron is a chemical element with symbol Fe (from Latin: Ferrum ) and atomic number 26. It is a
metal in the series. It is by mass the most common element on Earth, forming much of Earth's
outer and inner core. It is the fourth most common element in the Earth's crust. Its abundance in
rocky planets like Earth is due to its abundant production by fusion in high-mass stars, where the
production of nickel-56 (which decays to the most common isotope of iron) is the last nuclear
fusion reaction that is exothermic. Consequently, radioactive nickel is the last element to be

produced before the violent collapse of a supernova scatters precursor radionuclide of iron into
space.
Wire
A wire is a single, usually cylindrical, flexible strand or rod of metal. Wires are used to bear
mechanical loads or electricity and telecommunications signals. Wire is commonly formed by
drawing the metal through a hole in a die or draw plate. Wire gauges come in various standard
sizes, as expressed in terms of a gauge number. The term wire is also used more loosely to refer
to a bundle of such strands, as in 'multi stranded wire', which is more correctly termed a wire
rope in mechanics, or a cable in electricity.
Wire comes in solid core, stranded, or braided forms. Although usually circular in cross-section,
wire can be made in square, hexagonal, flattened rectangular or other cross-sections, either for
decorative purposes, or for technical purposes such as high-efficiency voice coils in
loudspeakers. Edge-wound coil springs, such as the Slinky toy, are made of special flattened
wire.
Battery
An electric battery is a device consisting of two or more electrochemical cells that convert
stored chemical energy into electrical energy. Each cell has a positive terminal, or cathode, and a
negative terminal, or anode. The terminal marked positive is at a higher electrical potential
energy than is the terminal marked negative. The terminal marked negative is the source of
electrons that when connected to an external circuit will flow and deliver energy to an external
device. When a battery is connected to an external circuit, electrolytes are able to move as ions
within, allowing the chemical reactions to be completed at the separate terminals and so deliver
energy to the external circuit. It is the movement of those ions within the battery which allows
current to flow out of the battery to perform work. Although the term battery technically means a
device with multiple cells, single cells are also popularly called batteries.
