English abstract
Inspection of the electronic court file in the Nazareth District Court, and
the paper court file of the appeal in the Supreme Court, showed that
there is and there was no authentic verdict or sentencing record for the
conviction and life imprisonment of Roman Zadorov. The issue now is
inspection of the original decision records in the paper court file from the
Nazareth District Court, which is held today in the Supreme Court.
Request was filed with Presiding Justice to set the procedure for the
inspection: Israeli law prescribes that the presiding judge of each court
establish such procedures, and it also prescribes that every person is
permitted to inspect court decisions and judgments that are not lawfully
sealed. However, the record shows that Presiding Justice of the Israeli
Supreme Court Miriam Naor did not uphold the law in other cases, relative
to exercising the right to inspect court records. Moreover, she refused to
take action in cases, where falsification or fraud in judicial records was
documented. The refusal to uphold the law, relative to inspection of
judicial records, combined with the refusal to correct falsified/fraudulent
records, are the hallmark of corrupt judiciary. The Zadorov court file holds
historic significance. Not only because of the abuse of Roman Zadorov,
the individual, but also because it documented the corruption of the
justice system like never before, and led to collapse of public trust in the
justice system and the judicial process.
