Dual Immersion Program

Who Do We Serve?
Spanish speaking students learning English.
English speaking students learning Spanish.

These groups work together in a cohort for the first two hours
of each school day. Native Spanish speakers help teach
Spanish, and native English speakers help teach English.

Spanish Immersion Class


Work on speaking, listening comprehension, writing, and
reading while the teacher embeds grammar into the
lessons.
Students read various books and authentic texts, write
essays, participate in socratic seminars, debate, and work on
group projects all in the target language.

Science Class
Students receive all science instruction in Spanish.
Students apply their language skills to explaining technical
topics related to science.
Normal science class, but taught entirely in Spanish.
(One day a week, English is permitted)

Spanish Speakers Get To Be The Stars!


The Spanish speaking students get to shine! For these
two hours, they are the experts in the building. No one
speaks Spanish better than they do.
