Remotivational Therapy
ENGLISH
A. Definition: A very simple group therapy
objective in nature, used by a nursing
attendant with his patients in the ward in an
effort to reach the unwounded areas of the
patients personality.
B. Purpose:
- Participation in group discussion helps
the patients to put aside poor social
habit, such as withdrawal,
preoccupation, fantasy, etc.
- It allows patients to test the
appropriateness of their social behavior
in an accepting and friendly
atmosphere.
- Participation in the group discussion
also promotes a greater focus and
acceptance of reality.
C. Standard Rules:
- Client is expected to remain sit while
doing the therapy.
- Client is expected to participate in the
therapy.
- Client is expected to raise her hands
when she knows the answer.
D. Techniques:
- As student nurses, we used pictures to
differentiate the old land transportation
from the new transportation in the
Philippines. Every picture is asked by
student to know if the patient is familiar
with the transportation.
