Lazy Cats Guide

to the Stock Market

Project Log
Chanelle Campbell
Summary: In 2014, I couldnt decide whether to create and

illustrate a childrens book or work on a simplified book for the stock

market for my senior project. I decided to attempt both and
purchased my first stock in July of 2014. By the summer of 2015,
after reading The Motley Fools Teen Guide to the Stock Market, I
decided to do a simplified book on the stock market.
After taking Mr. Abbes graphic design course in 2015-2016, I
decided to base my senior project around graphic design, which will
be my major in college. The idea is to show the power of graphic
design by taking a complex subject, such as the stock market, and
making it readable and memorable for kids, teens and adults. The
information contained in the Lazy Cats Guide to the Stock Market is
nothing new, but the graphic design and the marketing of the
information should make it simple and memorable for everyone.

account.

I wanted to purchase stock in Blizzard because I knew they were

releasing a game in December that sounded like it was going to be
a good one. It took some time to find the stock symbol for Blizzard,
because they are owned by Activision. This screen shot shows me
purchasing 4 shares of Activision stock.
