Lesson starter: teacher will show embryonic picture of some animals (It is taken from
http://onedio.com/haber/anne-karnindaki-hayvanlarin-inanilmaz-goruntuleri-230515 )

Lesson core:
Before the start the teacher gives information about the lesson plan

1)Teacher shows animal fetus photos and wants students to

predict which fetus picture belongs to which animal
2)Teacher asks: What is the pregnancy, How long does it last,
What are the stages of pregnancy? And teacher expects students to
answer the questions.
3) After students name the stages of development, the teacher
wants them to describe the segmentation stage according to the
illustration of segmentation
4) Before the start of embryonic development, teacher asks
students what they remember about it and briefly describes these
stages.
5)The teacher writes names of embryonic membranes on the
board and asks students what they remember about them.
(Amnion- Yolk sac) Highlights no yolk in humans?
6) The teacher briefly gives info about allantois and chorion and
asks which hormone is secreted by chorion, what is the function of
this hormone?
7)The teacher asks to students what is structure and function of the
placenta and expects students to answer the question.
8)The teacher also gives information about Placenta previa
9)The teacher chooses the students randomly and wants them to
read fetal development aloud.
10) After that highlights again the placenta previa and asks how
we know the fetus healthy or not? *Amniocentesis (teacher shows
a video about amniocentesis) and ultrasound imagining
