Skilled Communicator
Why is this an important trait?
Being a Skilled communicator is important because it allows
students to effectively convey their thoughts in a way that
others will understand. The ability to do this is the stepping
stone to being a solution seeker and honorable citizen. This is
a trait that will be carried into every job occupation, therefore
being a necessity.
How do you demonstrate this trait in daily life?
I demonstrate this trait every day in my classes when I am
required to speak my opinion on a topic. I also show this trait
when I am in club environments, acting as club president or
assistant, where I have to give instructions to the students
and when I have to keep them on task. Another way I exhibit
this trait is when I am doing writing assignments in class.
How does the sample provided show that you actively
demonstrate this trait?
The Catcher in the Rye essay show that I am able to formulate
my thought in a well-organized piece of writing. I scored a 7
out of 9 on this essay showing that my writing was clear and
effective. I tend to score a 6 on my essays so this shows that
my writing has grown, thus demonstrating that I have grown
as a skilled communicator.
