Richmond May Fair

Please put Saturday 8th May in your diary as we are planning another magnificent event. Last year was
brilliant, raising over £1,200 for much needed projects for the school and our children. Thanks to everyone
who contributed - children and parents - by giving up their time to organise, to bake, to bring – and not
least to buy!

We’re still at the planning stage but we will have the usual large tent with both an adult’s and a children’s
tombola, a silent auction, homemade cakes, biscuits and drinks. Most importantly – a showcase of Christ’s
School including activities and examples of the children’s work, all presented by the kids themselves.

Yes, we do need your support ... you can help with:

 Prizes for the Silent Auction: Please ask for donations in any shops/restaurants/businesses you
know or work for and get in touch with her direct: jackiejarvis123@hotmail.com - 0208 876 5749 or Lisa
Chelli 0208 878 4162.
 Stalls: we need donations and co-ordinators for each of the following stalls please:
o Adult tombola: (new and unused) toiletries, wine/spirits, books, stationery sets, homemade
jams/chutneys, chocolates; unwanted gifts such as jewellery, belts, purses, etc … no tins this
year thanks
o Kid’s tombola: similar to the above, eg stationery, toys, books, sweets, etc.
o Cakes: homemade cakes and biscuits- always popular, bake and bring loads
o Plants: also popular, so can the green-fingered among you stick in a couple of extra
seeds/cuttings of bedding plants, vegetable, salad and herb crops for us

 Donations - We’ll keep you informed about dropping off and collection points for donations once
our coordinators are on board
 General helpers – please call Jackie Jarvis or Lisa Chelli if you can co-ordinate a stall or to put your
name on the rota to help out for just an hour ... we need as many people as possible to work on
the stalls, help with setting up, breaking down and generally make it a great day for the school.
