product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? My magazine mostly follows the generic conventions of a real music magazine. Before creating my magazine I researched into real music magazines and the conventions of them e.g. masthead, main image, cover lines. When creating my magazine I followed these conventions. I looked at magazines that where of a similar music genre and the conventions of them. E.g. the font styles, the colours that where used, the type of images used, the models used, the layout of the page, the cover lines, the banners the pugs, the size of the font. I followed some of these conventions of a magazine such as using a font that looks more like graffiti. I used the layout of the cover lines using a list style like on this Rap up magazine. I followed the convention of putting the barcode in on of the bottom corners and keeping the price small. I did this because the barcode was not the centre of attention. Other conventions such as the model I didn’t follow. For similar genre of magazines like mine they use a black model. I didn’t follow this convention as I wanted to go against the typical convention and do a story on someone not stereotypically related to that genre of music.
