Task 4: Table 6 Classroom Management and Challenging Behavior Observation

For each term listed below, you need to explain what that means, then you need to list ideas
for managing this type of challenging behavior using both discipline and punishment. You
also need to support your ideas by making links to current readings, videos and classroom
observations.
You need to create the same template as the example below for each of the
following terms: Defiance, Making Silly Noises, Interrupting, Refusal to Work,
Disrespectful, Silly Class Clown

Misbehavior:
The student makes misbehavior like: the
learner wont to do what the teacher
told her to do it.

Punishment
The teacher put her alone+ minus
marks.
Impact on child
The student felt sad and after the class
she told the teacher (sorry) and in next
time she sat with her group and she
didnt make misbehavior.

Making Silly Noises:

The student makes silly noises, such as:

animal sounds or said bad comment for
the other student like (are you still
baby? you cant pronounce this word).

Put black points near her name.

Impact on child
The child keeps silent directly because if
she has more black points it will affect
her marks.

Interrupting:

Punishment

The child talked during the teacher

In any activity the child should not join
explain the activity and asked about
the group.
things no need to said it in the class like,
teacher in what time do you sleep?
Impact on child
The child sat alone then in the second
activity the teacher let her join the
group activity and she didnt interrupt
the teacher anymore while she explains
the activity.
Refusal to Work:

Punishment

The students wont to obey the teacher

order like: open the book or complete

She gave her extra work and worksheet.

The child always did her work and opens
the book immediately when the teacher
tells the students do anything during the
class.

Disrespectful

Punishment.

The children play with the smart board She gave them double homework.
and they damage it the smart board
wont to work.

The children said (we will not do it
again) and they apologized for the
teacher it will be the last time.
Silly Class Clown

Minus her marks.

The girls always talk and said silly things

about the students or said funny
