A note from Mr. Field:

M-Step Testing
Dear Parents,
The busy spring season is definitely
upon us! As students' home lives are
ramping up with sport seasons and
extra curricular activities, our school
busy season is in full swing as well.
In these weeks following spring break
until May 20th our 3rd-5th grade
students will be taking the state
assessment (M-Step).
M-Step Testing Days:
5th Grade M-Step Testing
April 12, 13, 14- April 19, 20, 21
3rd Grade M-Step Testing
April 26, 27, 28
4th Grade M-Step Testing
May 10, 12 - May 17, 18, 19
*Please make every effort to have your
children attend school on these days

Secure Entry Update:

Just a reminder when dropping
your child off in the morning
they will go directly to their
playground to line up with their
class. The first bell rings at
8:45AM. If your child is an
upper el student you may want
to drop off past the office
doors as this is closer to the
playground area for 3rd-5th
grades.
We appreciate the team effort
in keeping our children safer!

This can often be a time where

students' anxieties are risen and
because of this our staff is
intentionally keeping this testing time
"low-key" and we are continually
sharing with students that we are
proud of them for putting forth their
best personal effort each day. Please
pass along our praise to our 3rd-5th
grade students!
Have a great weekend,

Brian Field

From the Gym:

During the month of April we
will be doing our bowling
unit. We will be focused on
proper grip, arm swing and
footwork. The kids will still
need their gym shoes
because we will be jogging
in preparation for the mile
run fitness test, which will
happen in May.
I have started a Park Phys.
Ed. Facebook page. On that
page I will be releasing all
documents and order forms
as well as which classes
have PE on a daily basis. I
will also post any cool PE
related pictures. So check it
out on Facebook at https://
www.facebook.com/
HPSParkPE/
Have a great weekend!
