Extra yearbooks
Extra yearbooks will be
on sale in our office
later this month. The
cost will be $40, and only cash can be
accepted. Students will be notified via
the afternoon announcements when
the sales begin. Yearbooks will be sold
on a first-come, first-served basis.
Medication pick-up
A reminder that all
medication must be
picked up by a parent
or guardian in the
nurse's office by the end of the school
day on June 1. Any medications not
picked up will be destroyed. We are
not able to keep any medication over
the summer.
Final Report Cards
Final report cards will be emailed to
parents the week of June 5. Paper
copies of report cards will be mailed to
families who do not have an email
address on file at the school. You may
also access your childs grades by
logging into the PowerSchool Parent
Portal with the account you created.
Spring choir concert date change
The NEMS Spring
Choir Concert
will now be held
on Thursday,
May 25 at 7:00
pm in the Noblesville High School
auditorium. There is no charge to
attend the concert. As in the past, we
expect a full house! DVDs of the
concert will be available to purchase
for $20.
There will be a rehearsal on
Wednesday, May 24 from 2:00-5:00
pm at NHS. Buses will take all choir

students from NEMS to NHS, but
parents must pick up students at NHS
gate 1 at 5:00 pm.
End of year activities for eighth grade students
Eighth grade students with outstanding performance in academics,
athletics, or student activities will be invited by the NEMS faculty
to be recognized during an awards program on Wednesday, May
31 at 7:00 pm in our gymnasium. Families of the students being
recognized will receive invitations later this month.
Our PTO will be providing a picnic lunch with fun activities for the
entire eighth grade class on Thursday, June 1, the last day of
school!
Exploring Music recitals
Our 4th quarter Exploring Music students will be performing short
recitals on Tuesday, May 23, in the LGI room. Parents/guardians
are invited to come and hear what these students have
accomplished this quarter! The 20-minute performances will be
during the students regular music classes so please verify your
childs class time with them so you know which time slot to
attend.
8th grade guitars-7:35 (Period 1) or 8:20 (Period 2)
7th grade xylophones- 9:45 (Period 3) or 10:35 (Period 4)
6th grade drums- 12:30 (Period 5) or 1:15 (Period 6)
Student information update
Parents of students currently enrolled with Noblesville Schools are
asked each year to verify that the school has current contact
information, to update any changes in a child's medical history,
and to agree to technology usage permissions. Verification and
updates are made through the Demographic Update icon link in
the PowerSchool Parent Portal Once signed in to the portal, click
on the Demographic Update icon, view the information on file
with the school under each tab, and confirm by using the submit
button. You must be logged in as a parent in order to see the
demographic link.
If your child will not be attending Noblesville Schools next school
year, please contact our registrar, Carla Miller, to complete and
sign the withdrawal/transfer form. Students withdrawing will
need to turn in their school issued iPad and iPad charging
brick. Student records will be forwarded to the new school after
all the steps contained in the withdrawal process are completed.
2018 Rainforest trip informational meeting
Current 6th and 7th graders wishing to apply and participate in the
2018 trip to the Amazon should be sure to attend an informational
meeting on Tuesday, May 16 at 7:00 pm in the NEMS LGI Room. At
least one parent needs to attend as well. Students should bring
their iPad or another device. Detailed information and application
packets will be given out during the meeting.
