DEFROSTING OF
LIQUIDS

Which liquid will defrost faster-water or coke?

PROBLEM

What I believe will defrost faster is the coke.

HYPOTHESIS

My variable for the experiment was the water.

VARIABLE

PROCEDURE
I took two bottles
Fill in one bottle with water and the other with coke.
150mL was the quantity
Group A was my water and Group B the coke.
I put the bottles later in the freezer for six hours.
Every one hours I was checking out the conditions the
bottles had.

My results were that the bottle with water defrosted faster than the
bottle with coke. The bottle with water defrosted in 3 hours, rather
than the bottle of coke in 3 hr. and 30 min. Because the water
had fewer elements than coke, only hydrogen and oxygen. Even
though water froze faster, because coke contains sugar and other
stuff which lowers the freezing point of water, it melted faster.

RESULTS

The results of my experiment did not support my

hypothesis that coke will defrost faster.
