There is an overuse of drugs in Australia by teenagers

Drugs take you to hell, disguised as heaven Donald Lynn Frost. Drugs
are so pleasurable that at least 1 out of 6 teenagers has abused drugs.
This number will, in fact, increase if the government do not act
immediately. Those who are concerned must prevent more innocent
youngsters from falling into this trap and treat the ones that have been
affected. More injection rooms should be provided, children as young as
primary school students should be educated regarding this issue, and
more seminars should be held concerning this problem.

The number of youths who have used drugs is alarmingly high and yet it is
still increasing. This is supported by the fact that nowadays, at least I out
of 6 high schoolers has used drugs. This, eventually, led to 135 deaths
caused by heroin in 2014 in Victoria only. As if this were not enough, the
overuse of methamphetamine accounted for the additional 52 mortality,
adding the previously mentioned figure. That is a total of 187 deaths in 1
year! Therefore, I believe that if the government do not act quickly, then
certainly this problem will only worsen. Do we really want these numbers
to increase?

Firstly, the government should consider establishing more injection rooms

and rehabilitation centres in our society. Some citizens claim that the
presence of those drug users ruins the peacefulness and security of the
environment. Therefore, to solve this argument there should be more
injection rooms in sparsely-populated areas so that these juveniles can
have access to sterile syringes. Not only that, their consumption of drugs
could be monitored by professionals, who knows drugs best. This is also
requested by Jacqui Lambie as her own son also fell into this trap. This in
return would become a win-win solution for both the residents and drug
addicts.

Secondly, drug use should be part of the Australian Primary School

curriculum. They may seem under-aged for this topic, but their minds are
empty and are yet to be filled with knowledge. Educating them in using
drugs will prevent these children from following the steps of the ones who
have been fooled by this product. They will be informed of the risk they
are taking when playing around with drugs. Educating the children at a
young age will reduce the number of teenagers doing this harmful deed.

Lastly, the government should hold seminars frequently. These seminars

will not only support our unfortunate drug addicts but also help the ones

around these youngsters such as parents and guardians. They will know
how to react to this problem. The same applies to the juveniles; they will
be encouraged to join rehabilitation and be informed on how hazardous
drugs are. These are the reasons why there should be more seminars
regarding this issue. They will help the affected teenagers and the pupils
around them.

In conclusion, it can be seen that there are many opportunities in which
the government can take measures to aid these fragile youngsters. More
injection rooms should be set up in certain areas, educating primary
school students should be a must, and the government should hold more
seminars. The ones mentioned above are not the only options they have.
There are many other choices. It is all up to the government. Without their
making a move, then Australias future could be permanently ruined!
