The children at playdough time made pretend pizza and croissants. For the pizza, Lujain wanted pineapple, Rayan wanted tomatoes, JF wanted sausages, and Rahma wanted olives. When making croissants, the playdough was rolled out and cut into pieces to represent sausage then folded over to look like the pastries. Rahma said the croissants looked like snails, and she felt comfortable enough to share her point of view, then joined in laughing with the other children.

Rayan, JF, and Rahma at the playdough table where they created all sorts of yummy pretend food. First they made pizzas, Lujain asked if they could put pineapple on it as she likes pineapple, Rayan wanted tomatoes, JF wanted sausages and Rahma asked for olives which Lujain said yummy we have pizza at home, mummy makes it. Then they rolled out the playdough and made croissants. They had to have a big long sausage and then cut it into small pieces, which teacher Nabal then showed them how to fold it over to make the croissant (Rahma said it looked like a snail). It was great to see Rahma have the courage to express her point of view, when the children laughed she joined in giggling. BELONGING GOAL 3: Children and their families experience an environment where they feel comfortable with the routines, customs, and regular events.
