Specific Objective: By the end of this activity, students will be able to identify 3
aspect of sportsmanship and teamwork. Possible students responses include:
working together to decide on a Giant, Wizard, or Elf, being kind to the person I
tagged out, high fiving the other team, cheering on my teammates, having fun!
Concomitant Objective: The students will stay physically active while working
together with teammates and will have FUN!

- Think about some of those characters as we play
this game and pretend youre them!
- I want to see the most exciting and crazy
characters!

- In this game, you will be working on
sportsmanship and teamwork
- Some of these things include high fiving your
teammates and the other team, cheering for each
other, and working together as a team.
- As we play, I want you to keep some of these
things in mind and think of three different ways
you can demonstrate this.
Presentation of New Material/Directions:

- Weve already practiced our creatures a couple

times, now were going to learn how to play.
- Its similar to rock, paper, scissors, but in this
case, giants squish elves, elves outwit wizards,
and wizards zap giants. Its here on this board so
we dont forget.
- Lets all say the out loud once to help us
remember.
- As a team, you will quietly decide which character
you will pick so the other team doesnt hear.
When I count to three, you will jump into the most
convincing positions, facing each other.
- The team that is beaten will start running toward
this middle circle. If they are tagged by the other
team before they get there, they must freeze, and
the other team will get a point for every person
tagged.
- Then, the round starts over again.
- You must stay in between these green lines on
the sides.
