Welcome back to

School!
2016]

PARENT INVOLVEMENT
Parents can get involved with my classroom in
many different ways. We always need parents
to join us for field trips for supervisions.
Another way a parent may get involved is to
attend open houses. Throughout the school year
the school will hold a few open houses. This is
a great way for parents to come see their kids
school and classroom, also to talk to their
teachers.

TECHNOLOGY IN MY
CLASSROOM

CLASS
EXPECTATIONS
I am looking forward to another great school
year! In this letter you will see what my
expectations are, not just for the students, but as
for the parents and myself. For the classroom
here is what I would expect:

Respect: in, and out of the

classroom. I know in education not
everything goes the students way.
Also not everything is going to go
my way all the time, I just ask for
respect as I will always be
respectful to students and parents.

Patience: this goes along with

respect. I hope students have
patience with others, because we
all learn at different paces.

Have fun!: I want the classroom to

be a fun learning environment for

This is usually the area students fear. In my

classroom I do not approve of students using
any forms of technology while we are doing
lectures. However, there will be some activities
where there will be a computer used. There is
no need for students to bring any technologies
for learning purposes. If I see them playing
with a device, I will ask them to put it away. If
I see them play with it again, I will take it away
and give it back to them after school. You as
the parent will be notified by email of the
scenario.

STANDARDS UNDER
IDAHO
One standard for learning under Idaho is to
increase awareness and understanding to the
Idaho Core Standards for learning in English
language arts/ Literacy and Mathematics.
Another is to solicit actionable feedback on the
standards as part of the Idaho State Department
of Educations regular review process of
academic standards that have been implemented.
