Explanation
With my campaign kit I will be able to educate and inform people about my ideas
in a way that introduces bilingual rhetoric and its problems in modern American
education. Using tangible literature and social media rhetoric, I will be able to
expand my audience and increase my chances for change in Bilingual education.
Bilingual education is crucial in todays American culture, especially in the Latin
community. Latinos are the biggest minority group in the country and thus
having a background of knowing 2 languages means they need exclusive
resources to better their academic success. With programs like ESOL, their
seems to have many flaws and have not been showing great improvement.
Reforming Bilingual Education means changing the rhetoric in curriculum and
assignments to help better the success rate of bilingual/international students.
