Final Project:
The drawings have been used as the basis for a series of
animated films by the very simple technique of drawing,
filming a few frames, erasing, then drawing some more and
on.

In a now-signature technique, Kentridge photographs his charcoal drawings and paper collages
over time, recording scenes as they evolve. Working without a script or storyboard, he plots out
each animated film, preserving every addition and erasure.

Objective
I will be drawing in charcoal photographs that I took of a friend on the track, either in starting
blocks or running. The photographs are inspired by what I like to do in my free time. The style is
inspired by William Kentridges work of charcoal drawing and stop-animation. I want to draw a
picture then photograph it, then erase, then draw another position so when I put the images
together they move. It will relate to time because of the motion and the fact that time is passing
by in the images.
