oursalivaandteeth.Itisalsousedtoimportoxygenintoourbodykeepingourbloodflowing.
Ourmouthsusetastebudstodetectwhatisenteringourbodybysendingmessagestoour
brain.Ourmouthsalsousetheteethwhichhelpbreakdownthefood.
Butthereisnotmuchofapurposeofourmouthstructureifdidnothaveouresophagus
andstomach.Themouthbreaksdownourfoodandsendsitdowntheesophagusandintothe
stomach.Whileintheesophagusthefoodismadeintoabolusandisbeingtakendowneasily
becauseofthesaliva.Afterwardsthefoodisenteredintothestomachandthestomachuses
acidicjuices,turningitintochyme.Duringtheprocessofchymethestomachistakinginallof
thenutrientsfromthefoodandgoesintothesmallintestines.Lastlyafterpassingthesmall
intestine,thechymegoesintothelargeintestineandmadeintofeces.Itisheldinthehaustra
andthelargeintestinesendsmessagestothebrainthatitisreadytobereleased.
