OVE Presentation Reflection
This assignment was one of my top favorites. Why? Because I
had the opportunity to work with other peers in the classroom, work on
my oral presentation skills, my visual skills, and lastly get some
experience with electronic communication skills with my group.
How did I touch base with each of those? My group and I met
several time outside of class to decide on what all needed to be done
with this assignment. We first chose our topic, the local animal shelter,
we took action and went to the animal shelter and interviewed
employees, and this process was very fun yet we knew it was
important for our assignment. We split jobs amongst ourselves for
working on the presentation itself, found out who would read each
slides and why.
Working on Oral was interesting, I received feedback several
times on what I should work on; posture, eye contact, and word choice
were all things I as an individual know I need to work on. As a whole in
our group we needed to work on timing, we took longer than we
expected and didnt get to finish our whole presentation. We learned
we needed to work more on what specifically needed to be said and to
get through all slides in an appropriate amount of time.

The Visual aspect of this presentation came from my entire group

and Is minds, we designed the layout of our presentation slides in an
attractive format. We used relative images for our topic and
appropriate front. This was not an unfamiliar thing to our group.
The last and final thing is Electronic communications. My group
and I relied on electronics very much throughout this assignment. We
used electronics to communicate to one another through text or email,
we used Google to research on the local animal shelter, and we used
Google Slides for all of us to be able to work on the presentation at the
same time as others. I feel more equipped to work on such
assignments now after going through assignment #3 with a team.
