To immerse the students in the historical content, we have decided to develop a WebQuest to help the students engage with the concepts of topic. For one of the post activities the students will turn a written letter into a podcast. They will be required to record their voices as part of the task and upload it to the class webpage.

Term Two, will see Year 6 Blue study the movement of individuals migrating to Australia. This Unit of Work will be undertaken with the Humanities lessons. Your child will specifically look at what individuals felt before leaving the place they called home, the conditions of the ships and how it differs from life in today's society. To immerse the students in the historical content, we have decided to develop a WebQuest to help the students engage with the concepts of topic. The Web Quest will run over a seven-week period consisting of pre and post activities revolving around the excursion to the Western Australia Maritime Museum. For one of the post activities the students will turn a written letter into a podcast. They will be required to record their voices as part of the task and upload it to the class webpage.
