Name of Artifact: Service Learning Reflection

Course: EDUC 230-The Exceptional Child
Brief Description: To complete this
assignment, I volunteered ten hours in a special
education classroom. I observed and collaborated with an
exceptional learning teacher. I will discuss how I relate my
experiences in service learning to the classroom, my own
personal reflections from a teaching standpoint and how
this will be beneficial to me as a future teacher.

Rationale:

I used the service learning reflection

because it demonstrates my understanding of Standard #
2. Learning Differences. This assignment shows my ability
to understand individual difference, as well as diverse
cultures and communities within the classroom. In
addition, this assignment shows that I know how to
strategically address specific needs using my resources.
