COMMUNICATION
1. Get parents/guardians to fill out the bottom of their slip on the back to
school night handout and leave it.
2. Use the Remind App to keep parents up to date on projects, field trips,
programs, and in class assignments.
3. Use school phone and email to get in contact with parents.
4. If parents explain that they need another method of communication, see
how you can help them so the door is always open.
5. Send home monthly Newsletter that will explain to parents what is going on,
what they can volunteer to help with, and what is expected of their students.
6. Allow for parent teacher conferences: in school, on the phone, somewhere
that works best for the parents.
7. Have a class website that is up to date on anything going on not only in your
classroom but also for the entire grade and school.
8. Explain to parents that if an interpreter is needed you would still be able to
meet to allow for open to communication.
9. If the parent isnt responding ask the students about texting for
communication.
