To
Whom
It
May
Concern:
I
am
pleased
to
write
a
letter
of
recommendation
for
Kelsie
McCready.
I
had
the
privilege
of
working
with
Kelsie
from
August
2014
to
May
2015
when
my
husband
and
I
hired
her
to
take
care
of
our
children.
At
the
time,
they
were
nine
(3rd
grade)
and
six
(1st
grade)
and
Kelsie
worked
15-40
hours
per
week,
as
our
nanny.
In
her
position
as
nanny,
Kelsies
responsibilities
included,
but
were
not
limited
to:
- Daily
Homework:
Assisting
with
it/reviewing
it.
- Activities:
Creating
and
implementing
a
calendar
of
activities
to
keep
the
kids
busy.
- Discipline:
As
needed.
- Communication
and
support.
She
excelled
in
everything
asked
of
her.
More
specifically,
Kelsie
was
extremely
responsible
and
organized.
Daily,
she
created
and
adhered
to
a
schedule
of
activities
for
our
children:
A
schedule
that
always
began
with
homework
and
reading
and
typically
ended
with
outdoor
play.
Homework
is
no
easy
task
Our
public
school
requires
that
a
great
deal
of
learning
take
place
at
home.
Given
this
fact,
each
day,
Kelsie
sat
down
with
both
of
our
kids
and
assisted
them
with
their
homework.
When
they
had
a
question,
she
did
not
provide
the
answer.
Instead,
she
asked
them
more
questions,
encouraging
them
to
think
harder
and
find
the
answer
themselves.
In
addition,
she
supplemented
their
assignments
with
additional
work
to
help
them
master
the
information
they
were
learning
versus
simply
memorizing
it.
For
instance,
our
daughter
was
struggling
with
basic
math
facts
so
Kelsie
began
using
flash
cards
to
help
her
grasp
facts
for
numbers
one
through
10.
She
made
learning
fun.
Kelsie
is
also
very
creative.
I
never
worried
that
our
children
were
spending
too
much
time
watching
television
or
playing
video
games
when
they
were
in
her
car.
Instead,
she
created
craft
activities
for
them,
encouraged
hikes
along
Californias
foothills,
organized
play
dates
and
more.
She
also
laughed
with
our
children.
Humor
is
a
trait
I
dont
think
should
be
underestimated
Especially
in
education.
On
the
opposite
side
of
humor,
sits
discipline.
My
husband
and
I
leaned
on
Kelsie
to
instill
our
household
rules
everything
from
saying
please
and
thank
you
to
respecting
authority.
She
was
up
for
the
task.
In
addition,
we
run
a
very
busy
household.
Our
children
are
involved
in
many
extracurricular
activities
from
sports
to
the
arts.
Kelsie
was
very
organized,
ensuring
they
were
always
where
they
needed
to
be,
in
the
right
place
and
at
the
right
time.
Finally,
Kelsie
understands
the
importance
of
proactive
and
reactive
communication.
She
responded
to
our
requests
quickly
and
efficiently.
She
asked
questions.
She
completed
tasks
requested
of
her
and
made
suggestions
when
she
felt
there
was
a
better
solution
to
a
problem.
-more-
Kelsie
is
a
gem.
Our
children
were
fortunate
to
learn
from
and
spend
time
with
her.
Since
acting
as
our
kids
regular
caretaker,
Kelsie
has
attended
graduate
school.
While
her
schedule
no
longer
allows
her
to
be
our
part-time
and
full-time
nanny,
we
have
continued
our
relationship
with
regular
evening
babysitting.
I
look
forward
to
watching
Kelsies
career
develop
and
have
high
expectations
for
her:
Expectations,
I
have
no
doubt,
she
will
fulfill.
Any
school
would
be
lucky
to
have
her
on
staff.
Sincerely,
Melanie
