1. (3 points) What is Solution Manager? How do you start Solution Manager?
Solution manager is a tool that interacts with the model to provide control of all
relationships relevant to the current solve. It is also an optional step during synchronous
move or edit operations. You click on the eye glass located in the live rules panel. If it is
on there will be a check.
2. (7 points) POST ANCHOR: Design Intent - The design intent for the part shown below is that
the height of the Post Anchor, dimension P1, can be used as a driving dimension to control the
depth of the circular opening, P2; the position of the circular opening, P4; the width of the top of
the part, P5; the position of the notch on the right side of the part, P 6; and the widths of the base
of the object, dimensions P7 and P8. Based on the specified relationships and illustrations shown,
apply equations to dimensions using the Variable Table in order to convert the part from the first
design, with P1 = 8, to the second part design, with P1 = 13. Submit screenshots of the Variable
Table and the final dimensioned model.
