Kahoot!

Description
Kahoot! provides a free game-based learning platform for all ages. New kahoots that include
quizzes, discussions, or surveys created using a series of multiple choice questions can be created
in minutes. Each kahoot can include a video, image, or diagram to amplify the said questions to
increase student engagement. Players within the classroom answer the questions from their own
devices (i.e. phones, desktop computers, laptops) by selecting the corresponding color/shape to
accompany their chosen answer from the main screen.

Classroom Use:
Educators can also search through millions of ready to play or adaptable quizzes to accompany any subject area or lesson. It adds a little
more excitement for assessment procedures than the traditional quizzes or discussions. This program is flexible enough to be used within
a variety of different scenarios at any grade level. With the main question on the screen, instead of on student devices, it allows the class
to complete the activity in unison without losing focus of students. The questions can be timed to allow for a steady flow of material for
the given time frame. Students are then scored and ranked, if desired, to add to the fun of the material. The data can be saved from class to
class to keep track of student understanding,

Click here to access a Kahoot I created for my class. It involves solving quadratic equations to prepare my students for the ACT
assessment their Junior year of High School. There is a light video embedded within the intro slides to engage students while they wait
for their classmates to log on and prepare themselves for class.
