Dear Mr. Stewart,
I am writing to you to share my thoughts on gun legality. Guns need to stay legal along with concealed carry, not just in Utah, but throughout the entire United States. Protecting our gift of life should be a given and something that should never be tested. After researching states with stricter gun laws I found major areas of fault that help argue for less gun control. First, we see a decrease in tax revenue when more gun laws come into effect, along with lost local jobs that a gun manufacturer would provide. Next, strict gun laws do not make us any safer. These states with strict gun laws take away our option to protect our lives, our families, and our property. Gun laws do not work. Every time a state or country bans firearms/handguns, crime rates and homicides quickly go up. If guns were totally banned, all confrontations would almost always be won by the physically superior party who can inflict more harm. A gun brings more equal level and reason back into the situation. Carrying a gun is a civilized act. It does not limit interaction by reason, only by force thus creating a much more civilized community. Gun control does not work. Sincerely,
