The beginning of the Companys traditional herbal medicine


industry was strated in 1940 as a home industry managed by
Mrs. Rahmat Sulistio in Yogyakarta, who was assisted by
three employees. The high demand for more practical
packaging of traditional herbal medicines encouraged her to
produce traditional herbal medicines in a more practical form
(powder). In line with the Companys progress, the processing
of traditional herbal medicines was moved from Yogyakarta
to Semarang.

Until the end of 2014, the Company and its subsidiaries had 3,841
employees. About 19% of the total employees are college graduates
(Diploma, Undergraduate and Pastgraduate) from various majors
such as biology, economics,pharmacy, agriculture, law, food
technology, chemistry, engineering and so forth. In addition, the
Company also recruits professionals such as pharmacists, doctors,
dentists and specialists as consultants.
