Probus and Fellowship NZ

We are now associated with Fellowship NZ (FNZI); one of three groups operating under the old Probus banner in NZ. We were with Probus
South Pacific which is based in Australia and there is also another group called Rebus NZ based in on the Hibiscus Coast. All three now
operate in NZ (a sad state of affairs). All have similar objectives and offer the same resources.
The FNZI Council met on the 28/29 April in Dunedin.
At that meeting a new President Graeme Pierson was elected (due to the retirement of Dr Denys Boshier). Our own Central Regional
representative Mike Healy is now the Treasurer. There are over 275 Fellowship groups in 6 Regions. If you Type or copy this link into Google you
can see the regions (http://www.fellowship.kiwi/where-we-are ). The link is also in our website above.
An information and friendship day for our area is planned, and we will keep you posted.
It is reported that at this stage PSPL will not be taking any action against non-incorporated clubs using the name. The Probus name is a powerful
one world-wide and the council is investigating the possibility of gaining its use . So watch this space. It is taking time to work through the legal
issues involved.
Travel Insurance is available through Fellowship NZ. (See the link above and on our website)
