MAIN PROBLEM

Andy Zimmermans behavior is the core problem in this


case

Andys brittle personality and his tendency to be


productive loner indicates that he could be possibly in a
dangerous situation.

Jane and the previous managers could not understand the


reasons behind Andys behaviour

Jane let Caroline handle the situation of Andy which was


unproductive

Instead of confronting Andy, Caroline listened to Andy


calmly.

Instead of directing Andy about his flaws and the need to


reason productively, Caroline just listened.

This made Andy only think that his behaviour was


relevant and acceptable.

Showing Andy the impact of his behaviour and the


better results that it would have brought could have
been much fruitful.

TIPS FOR JANE

Be direct and specific to Andy about his behaviour.

Talk to him about his observed behaviour and use the help
of examples explaining while explaining to him like those of
Jack and Caroline.

Elaborate to him the impact of his behaviour, how it


impacts the team and as such the consequences of his
behaviour.

Reason with him and provide direction to correct his


behaviour and improve it.
