When Mary went to the store, she

created an alibi with a guy named Sam.
After she got her vegetables, she left

When she got home, the police were
there. They asked her where she was
and did she have an alibi.

[She]...[rehearses]...it several times more [and]...[goes]...in the grocery shop to create an alibi . This is indirect
characterization because the author only shows Mary Maloneys anger. Mary goes into the market and asks the clerk Sam
for some potatoes and peas. Sam does not know the leg of lamb Mary has is the murder weapon. When she received her
vegetables, she left the grocery store, and headed home. She then called the police to make it seem like she had just
found out her husband was dead. They asked her where she was and what she did. Her story checked out and the police
didnt know she was the one who committed the murder. The police didnt know that they were eating the murder weapon.
And Mary Maloney was sure of herself that the police didnt know she did the murder.
