Hello miss, Dyah.

May God always give you his guidance that brings you into his true path.
I have some questions those make me confused and put me in a heavy doubt when i want to
speak english.
Sometimes, i hear these sentences, either from english books or english daily conversation
that i listen to every day :

She took the cap off the tube of toothpaste.

Write down their names !
Let me check it up first.
I can not find out the meaning.

When i search in my dictionaries. I cant find the meanings of write down, check....up, and
find out. I just find the meanings of write,check and find. But i undestand their meanings
are.

Dia melepas penutup dari wadah pasta gigi.

Tulislah nama-nama mereka!
Biarkan saya mengeceknya terlebih dahulu.
Saya tidak dapat menemukan artinya.

Am i right, so far?
My question is what is the purpose of putting the additional words like .... down, .....up,
....out, etc. In those sentences?
What is the difference if i just write I can not find the meaning (for sentence number 4) and
let me check it first (for sentence number 3) ?
