Urinary System Proposal

Description:
Our model consists of a cup that represents a kidney, tubes that represent
the arteries and veins, and a straw that represents the urethra.
Functions:
Our model will show two functions: filter nutrients and expel waste.
Somehow filter waste and show blood going back into the body.

Small filter (possibly dialysis tube)

Cut tubes to correct length

Cut three holes in main tube
Cut holes in cup
Put small filter in main tube
Cut smaller tube to come out bottom of cup
Add detail

Principles:
Filtration- when the blood goes through the kidneys, waste is diffused out of
the blood and expelled through the urethra; the filtered blood returns back
to the heart
Issues:
Getting a small filter to successfully work with our model.
Requirements:
Use dialysis tubing as a filter.
