Similarity Practice
(Collaborating)
Even though I didnt write much on my Similarity Practice working on this problem my
table really collaborated together. At first we had thought it was just like how the mirror
problem is, but it wasnt. When my table figured out how to solve the problem this
problem reminded me of when we were first figuring out about similarity. How a small
triangle and a big triangle could be similar even though theyre different sizes.
In this packet we worked on we figured out that anything with more than 4 points will
NOT be similar. Triangles are pretty special after this worksheet. The whole time I was
working on the worksheet I was thinking that maybe the shapes that have 4 or more
sides could be similar if you try to do whatever youre doing, but it wasnt. So anything
with 4 or more sides could easily be made into different shapes but a triangle with the
same lengths wont change.
Mirror Madness
(Finding Pattern)
Doing MIrror Madness was my favourite problem to do. At first I didnt know what to do
once I found out Mommas height. I wasnt thinking that when I was trying to find Uncles
height I had already found Mommas height so the problem wasnt actually that hard. So
everytime I would find the OH I would just have to put it on the PH for the next person.

Inventing Rules
(Growth Mindset)
I felt like math was getting easier for me while doing similarity. It was easy to understand
I could get the hang of it pretty quick. When I was doing the worksheet I easily finished it
and got all the answers right. All I was doing was cross multiple.
This worksheet was actually confusing to me when we first did it because I had no clue
what was going on even when someone explained it to me I like didnt understand. So I
questioned the whole packet like Is this really how I do the problem?
Similar Problems
While working I didnt actually notice I was doing cross multiple. I was just doing what Mr.
Cater told Mari and I. Doing cross multiple was really easy and I was just excited that I
was doing something and getting the problem right. The only thing is I didnt know when
Id be using cross multiple. It didnt come to mind when Id need to use it in similarity.
