Highlands Neighborhood Association Minutes

April 19, 2010

Board members present: Myrna Coleman, Tami Soper, Dianna Wright, Rod Hubbard,
Andrew Brown, Rose Klein and Kris Meek. Jim Klein and Michelle Brown excused.

Andrew Brown made a motion to accept the minutes of the last meeting as e-mailed and
printed. Seconded by Rod Hubbard. Approved.

Corrections to the treasurer's report as printed: The check listed as being to Myrna Coleman
was actually to Dianna Wright and correct spelling from Rob to Rod Hubbard. Dianna
Wright made a motion to accept the treasurer's report as e-mailed and printed and pay all
pending bills. Seconded by Tami Soper. Approved as corrected.

Myrna brought a list of recommendations for directors including the recommendation that if
a director cannot come to a meeting that he or she should contact the president or secretary to
let them know so the director would be excused from the meeting. Tami Soper made a
motion that Andrew Brown take care of rewording the recommendations for directors.
Seconded by Rod Hubbard. Approved.

The Pool Party was listed in the spring newsletter as July 17 but was actually scheduled for
July 31. Myrna Coleman will try to reschedule the Pool Party to July 17 to minimize any
problems. Kris Meek volunteered to be the Pool Party chairman. Dianna and Don Wright,
Rose Klein, Andrew Brown and Rod Hubbard volunteered to be on the Pool Party
committee.

We do not have a meeting place for the summer meetings. The Boy Scouts have scheduled
the Fire Station and Golf Leagues are scheduled for the Golf Course. Myrna Coleman will
check into scheduling the meetings for Sandhills Publishing, the Tech Park or a church.

Dianna Wright and Myrna Coleman have been going to the monthly Mayor's Round Table
meetings. At the last meeting there was a presentation on the new Haymarket Arena. People

The website of Senator John Spatz has information on the Purple Heart Highway (Hwy 34)
crosswalk/overpass.

This meeting adjourned at 9 pm. The next meeting is Monday, May 17 at Fredstrom School.
