    Meeting Minutes

    October 15, 2007

    Board members present: Bill Schlautman, Kris Meek, Dianna Wright, Rose Klein, Jim Klein
    and Tommy Taylor. Members and guests: Beverly French, Tami Soper, Sheryl Burbach and
    Harold Hostetter.

    Rose Klein made a motion to reimburse Dianna Wright for giant squirt guns for next year’s
    Pool Party. Seconded by Jim Klein. Approved.

    Tami Soper made a motion to approve minutes of the last meeting as handed out at the
    meeting. Seconded by Dianna Wright. Approved.

    Kris Meek reported that the party with Down The Hatch Bar is still a possibility with a much
    cheaper band sometime in the spring. We should have the lady who owns the bar come to a
    meeting.

    Tommy Taylor will reserve the Highlands Pool for the Pool Party on July 26th from 6 to 7:30
    p.m. Kris Meek will contact Jeff Cumblidge so that he will do the food stand for the Pool Party.

    The lighting contest is scheduled for December 18, 19 & 20. These people have volunteered
    to judge the lighting contest: Harold Hostetter, Beverly French, Dianna Wright, Bill
    Schlautman and possibly John Spatz. We will need to start gathering prizes for the lighting
    contest.

    For the November meeting Tommy will call and invite Mark Canney, Park Planner for Lincoln
    Parks and Recreation so that we can have input on the planting plans for the West Highland
    Blvd. median. Rose Klein will call and invite Steve Schwab, City Forester so that he can give
    us information on what trees to plant as the Scotch and Austrian pines succumb to Pine Wilt.
    Tommy will see if we can hold the meeting at the Tech Park.

    Bill Schlautman made a motion that we pay whoever delivers the newsletter $150.00 (up from
    $125.00) since we will be adding the townhomes west of NW 12th St. to the delivery area for
    the Highlands. Seconded by Dianna Wright. Approved.

    The next meeting will be Monday, November 19, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. at the Tech. Park
    Auditorium at 4701 Innovation Dr.
