lights, we will present a short narrated video of just what our Garden Club does. This
video has been prepared by Kathy and Jolene and Diane will narrate. Kudos to these
members for promoting our efforts in this community!

OLD BUSINESS:
Projects for this year: Members are to give some thought to potential projects (bring
to the next meeting) and Margaret and Peggy will touch base with Bob Redelings of the
Planning Committee to see if they have ideas we might consider.
We will not sponsor an orchid sale this year as the growers in Homestead, FL don’t
have any. Weather has affected local sources and they cannot get any from California.
There was discussion for putting on a sale of ‘surplus’ plants from our own gardens on
a Hot Dog Tuesday.

NEW BUSINESS:
All members are to consider what committee they would like to be involved in.
Several of our committees need members, ie Social, and Membership.
We have a new committee to address Public Relations. Jolene Smith and Dominique
Palacios have agreed to head this committee. Our visibility has diminished
over the last few years, and as we look forward to attracting new members,we need to
advertise our goals, efforts and times of fellowship.
At present we have 26 members and our goal is to have a full membership of 35.
Please be thinking of potential new members and realize that a personal invitation goes a
long way. Discussion was to have an orientation gettogether to present the aspects of our
club to potential new members.

NEXT MEETING: Wednesday, February 1st, 2023, 3 pm at the Silver Club House.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:32 pm.

Respectively submitted,
